Thanksgiving at Grandma Linda's

Cael fixing the dyson

decorating the tree

I know that I have been MIA lately, but that doesn't mean that I wasn't thinking about my blog. So here is a recap of the past couple of weeks.
Second, Casey put the Christmas lights up on our house last weekend. I begged him to do it while the weather was good. I hate the thought of him being on ladder when it is snowing. We turned them on until the neighbors started complaining (no, just kidding), but we did turn them on while we ran to get Cael from my mom's so he could see them and it seemed weird wearing a short sleeve shirt and sandals while looking at my Christmas lights.
Casey and Gary. He insisted on taking his own gun(toy). He looked so happy I couldn't resist taking a picture. They didn't see ANYTHING so Casey is going to take up Raccoon hunting to see if this helps the pheasant population.
finally, Kensie finally started to take steps. I was starting to think that she wasn't going to be walking by her birthday, but she proved me wrong. She also got her first haircut. It wasn't a huge haircut, but Jenna trimmed the ends with hope it will come in better. She was good the whole time and just smiled. She is getting too big!
PS. if anyone was wondering Guilherme did win the world finals, which was totally awesome and well deserved. He has taken second the past three years! So Go Guilherme!!!

Wild Girl is ten months old!! She is into everything and has now reached the phase where she has to be entertained. She had an ear infection and I was hoping maybe that was the cause of the clingie-ness, but Mr. Ear infection is now gone and she still is my shadow. She also has mastered the steps and loves to bounce up and down when she gets half-way up, so I have to watch her like a hawk! Her first words are ma ma, hell-o, da da. Waves bye-bye. Sings along with music especially at church. . She is still crawling like a maniac and has not even tried to take steps. She loves pop and attacks anything in a cup. Her hair is still crazy as ever and the other day I had a "hillbilly" type man stop us at Maceys and commented on how Un-cute her hair was. It was nice coming from a person with a mouth full of gold teeth. It so fits her personality so I love it wild!
It was Cael's first day of school at Wilde 4 learning preschool. He's not been so sure about this going to school so we took him up shopping and got him new clothes, backpack, and pencils. It must have worked because he couldn't wait until 9:30 this morning. He kept asking if we could go. He did whine a little when I dropped him off, but he got over it. When I went to get him he came running out and the first thing he told me was that he had put his belt in his bag. I asked why and he said that he had went to the bathroom and couldn't buckle it back up. So I asked if his teacher put it in there and he said "no I didn't tell her". He must have been to embarrassed to ask her to buckle it. He said they went outside and looked for the "gingerman". and after found him they got to color him with frostin (it looked like crayon). But over all he had fun and hopefully he can make some new friends. I too have started taking classes at night and the other day Cael asked where I was going. When I told him school he said "mommies don't go to school".
What a busy month! There has been a lot of things going on around here the last month and with the Olympics on at night I have not wanted to play on the computer. (That being said I would like to apologize to all the people who are mad at me for not posting in such a long time! I will try to be better) First of all Cael took swimming lessons the first of the month and loved every minute of it. (next phelps?) Him and Gavyn loved playing shark and motor boat, motorboat. Gavyn was especially good at playing the shark and told us after that he "ate all the fissy's". Cael loved doing "tiggerbounces" to the other side and playing like he was a choo-choo along the wall. He would not go down the slide even though he told me every morning that he wanted to. He can't wait until next year. Last week was the county fair and we tried to go to everything we could.
We started the week off on Wednesday when Cael rode a sheep in the junior rodeo. He was so excited until he saw all the other kids crying when they fell off. Casey was helping him on when he started to change his mind and told Casey that he wanted to get off. Casey turned around and told them to open the gate. He lasted a few seconds at least long enough I got a picture of him falling off. At first he said he liked it but was not doing that again, but now he says he will do it next year. When we got in the car he yelled "oh man, we forgot my belt buckle!" I explaned to him that he will have to stay on next year to win. Kensie competed (well tried to compete) in the diaper derby, she thought playing in the grass was much more fun. little stinker. We also went to the atv rodeo and the derby which were both fun and kept us busy. Lately Cael has been such a sweetheart and a big helper. He is acting so old and is starting to say the funniest stuff. He sounds like a 30 year old man in a 3 year olds body. The other night he was laying on the couch with Casey and I was laying on the other couch watching the Olympics. I had just laid down when he asked me if I wanted his blanket. what a cutie. then last week he came in with something behind his back and said mom I got somethin for you. I said what? Aaaaaa boogerfinger! I said a what? Cael: no a buggerfinger. Me: a what? Cael:" I mean a handfinger." Thank goodness when he showed me what he was talking about is was a butterfinger. He has been loving to go to the farm with the guys. The other day he was on with Chad when Travis stopped to ask how much longer he was going to be. Travis said they talked for a few minutes when Cael all of a sudden yelled "get to work"! My dad hopes he keeps up his enthusiasm so he can help when he is old enough.
It feels like I just posted her 7 month stats and now it's already time to do her 8th! time is flying.
This was the 9th stampede we have been to with Eric & Jen. We always have a fun time and I hope it's a tradition we never break! After the Rodeo we always make a couple of trips around the carnival, get our fix on the food, and then go back and hang out at our house. It's always sad to see it end but we can always look forward to next year.
I love having the fourth on a friday!!! If it was only possible every year. Ha Ha Ha. We were busy all day. We got up first thing and went to the park for breakfast. Then went home and got ready for the carnival, we try to go early before the heat. It's always fun to see friends & family that I only see once a year. We lasted there for about 2 hour and then went and had lunch and got ready for our barb-b-Q. Around 6:30 everyone started to show up for our party. We invited everyone that was around to come over and watch the fireworks and have a burger. The weather was a perfect overcast and made the night that much more comfortable. This was the first year Cael watched the city fireworks. Every year he has always fell asleep before they started. He's not the biggest fan, but he enjoyed them because they were far away. When the guys started to light our fireworks Cael went and sat in our house with the door open to watch. He hates loud noises and sparks. He runs for the house every time his grandpa's start welding. Kensie loved watching them and wouldn't take her eyes off them. July has just begun and I'm already tired!!!

So, everybody that knows me knows that I looove Disney/Pixar movies. Yes, i'm the one driving to walmart the day they release one from the vault. Nikki is also a collector and agrees with me when I say that the best thing about buying a new disney movie is driving strait home and watching the previews to see what they are releasing next. My friend Natalie Mccoy sent me a quiz to take to see what princess I would be. The Little Mermaid is one of my favorites and yes that is who I turned out to be. Anyway, Cael is now old enough to take to the movie (the big tv is what Cael says), so I don't have to drag Casey or my friends with me. Except Casey still goes with me by choice. {I think he is hiding his love of them} So last night we went to Wall*E and took Cael and Kalee. Kalee took this picture with her phone of Cael sitting by Wall*e & Eve. Cael loved the movie so much that when it was over he yelled to me "Mom, that's a good movie". Me and Casey liked it but it wasn't my favorite. We went to Kung fu Panda a couple of weeks ago and We liked that better. There was more adult humor in it. That being said I still love Pixar movies and if I was an artist I would go work for them!!!!
It's been years since we have been to Thousand Lakes. This is Casey favorite place to camp and hunt. Unfortunately it is a draw only area to hunt so it doesn't happen very often. Thousand Lakes is part of Fish Lake National Forest and borders Capital Reef. This picture shows us over looking Capital Reef. We had a good group go with us, Casey's family, my mom & dad, Hal & Elaine Anderson, Chris & Lynelle Memmott, & Casey's uncles and family.
Cael had such a good time and is loving camping more and more. He would go and go and go until he couldn't handle it anymore and then finally give it up for a nap (99% of the time it was on the 4-wheeler). The baby did so good and never fussed. She went with us on the 4-wheeler the first day and loved every minute. We did a lot of riding and saw a bunch a neat places.
After the first day, my mom and dad decided to go in the truck down to Capital Reef and through Cathedral Valley and then back to camp. We were all going on the 4-wheelers so they took Kensie with them. From what is sounds like, they got into some scary patch of road and did some rock climbing. My mom said that Kensie never made a peep the whole time. Kensie is so good to take, but she had a weird obsession with licking the table in our trailer (should we worry????). We also found a tree that Casey had carved our names on in 1999. I can't believe that we have been together for ten years. I'm going to find some old pictures of us and post them soon.

Cael is having the best summer. He is finally old enough he can enjoy having friends (cousins) over. Him and Kaitlyn get to see each other all time because we live so close. They play so good together and are becoming good friends. We had Gavyn sleep over the other night and this was Cael's first time having a sleepover at his house. He was so excited to have him come stay. They played all night until it was time to have an "orange cow". We love to make this drink and will have it at least a couple of times a week. Gavyn wasn't so sure he wanted to try it until Cael talked him into it. He took one sip and let out a big "MMMMMMM"! Casey started a fire in his new pit he got for fathers day and they sat out there until they got tired. He is so funny and him and Cael are good at wearing each other out.
I love the guys in my life! It so fun to have a day to celebrate all that they do for us. Especially to my hubby who is the the best daddy, husband, and friend. I don't always let him know how much I appreciate all that he does for our family. Our home does not feel complete until he walks in the door from work. Cael can't wait for him to get home everyday so they can "work" together. He calls Kensie his little princess and she smiles and giggles every time she see him! My kids are so lucky to have a dad that loves them so much and is willing to play with them all the time.
I have people tell me all the time that Casey is just like his dad. My father-in-law is a great example to Casey and has taught him how to be a good husband and dad. They are both hard working and have to have everything perfect. He is always willing to help us out and never complains about anything. Gary always sees the good in people and I have rarely heard him say a bad thing about anybody.
I also was taught by example of how a dad should be. My dad never made me feel like an inconvenience and was always willing to help in anyway he could. During the summer we spent our day's with him and the guys farming. I have the best memories of those summers spending time with him, my grandparents, uncles and cousins. He taught me to listens to oldies music (which I love) and to love animals. Cael wants to spend all his time with the guys and is learning from them everyday. He has the best guys to look up to! We spent all day Sunday eating! We went to Chris & Jakoye's place first and ate till we were sick (BBQ turkey mmmm) and then we went to my mom's and ate right after. I had to take mine home I was way to full! Oh-yeah I forgot to mention that while we were at Chris & Jakoye's, Cael ran into the wall and got a huge goose-bump on his forehead. He said it didn't hurt, but it look bad! Kensie also cut a tooth that night. She is much happier!
We spent the day Saturday at Lagoon with my family, well everybody except my Dad and Chad. Cael had a good time and loved all the rides. Our favorite was the new Odysea ride. We had the boys go on all the kiddie rides before we had them go on any of the bigger ones. Cael was so excited to go on the log ride and wanted to sit in the front. He was having a great time until he realized that he was going to get wet and then he wanted to sit in the back! Well by that time it was to late to change seats and he ended up getting wet.
This picture was taken right before he started crying. By the time we got off both boys were screaming that they wanted to go home. I don't know if he was scared of the drop or if he was mad he had got wet. What ever it was he got over it and was ready to ride something else. We didn't get to ride Rattle Snake Rapids because the line was too long. The crowds were great in the morning with hardly any wait, but by the afternoon there were long lines and the boys were not up to that. Around 3:30 the boys were getting tired and we were trying to decide if we should head home. We decide to let them go on one last ride and while waiting in line the power went out in the whole park. So that decided it for us. Cael rode home with Nikki and they said the boys didn't even make it to the freeway and they were asleep. Cael is still talking about it and has even said that the log ride was his favorite. Hopefully we've not ruined him on water rides because they are my favorite! We had so much fun that now we are going to plan a trip to Disneyland!
