Easter Egg Hunt...

Easter Egg Roll... every year we question where this tradition comes from since Linda says that her parents use to do it. When I got home there was an article online about rolling eggs and said the first known Easter Egg roll was done at the White house in the 1700's. They didn't roll them down a hill but with a spoon across the White House lawn. From what they can tell it must have come over from Europe. Where ever it came from we sure enjoy it!

Jarrett Family Reunion 2011.....

We drove in from camping to spend the day at the Jarrett Family Reunion. When we got into town it was raining so we went home and showered, did a load of wash, and made some Easter treats. Around 2 we headed out west and it was still raining when we got there. After a few hours of visiting in the trailer the sun finally came out and actually turned out to be nice the rest of the night. I love my family and wish we could spend more time together. Thanks Connie & Wayne for a fun time!

This picture reminds me of the many camping trips I had with my cousins. Cael had the best time riding bikes, hiking (to rock mountain as Nolan put it), and playing cop & robbers. Camping with cousins is the best!

Spring Break 2011....

We headed out to Cherry Creek on Wednesday for a long weekend full of sand. It's always a pain to get ready for the first camping trip of the year, but so worth it. We did lots of RZR riding, eating, baseball, sand castle building, and laughing. It was a much needed Vacation from the stress of life! The kids loved every minute of it and hardly complained.

I found these glow stick wands and swords at the dollar store and man were they a hit.

On Thursday a storm rolled in so it gave us time to color our eggs...

On Friday the storm cleared so we went for a ride over to sand mountain. This was the first year we have taken the RZR in the sand so I was a little nervous about getting stuck, but it turns out that thing will go anywhere. We had a blast and all Kensie could say was "go fast, go fast daddy." At times she reminded me a Ricky Bobbie....

Every year Cheryl & Cody entertain us with fashion show. This started a couple of years ago when everyone gave Cheryl a bad time about her ugly horse sweater. Cody has since tried to compete with the ugly sweater by wearing several ugly sweaters and one chicken suit. This year he surprised everyone by actually finding the exact sweater online. You can't tell but Cheryl is also dressed like a Dallas Cowboy cheerleader. Too Funny...
