FHE up the canyon...

With cold weather fastly approaching, Casey & Brady decided to plan a quick dinner up the canyon. It was last minute and some friends couldn't come, but we still had a great time. We live in such a beautiful area, I can't believe we don't spend more time up there! We spent a couple hours visiting and the kids played before we had dinner and roasted mallows. Chris & Brady took the kids for a mini hike and they spent the rest of the time riding their bikes. Good times with Good people!

tooth-less joe...

Cael's made a few bucks from the tooth fairy lately. During the first week of school he lost a tooth during lunch. He said he was eating an apple when one of his bottom centers came out. His teacher sent him home with a tooth necklace and sticker. A couple nights later we were brushing his teeth when the other bottom center started to bleed. He twisted it and out it came!

Bow-Hunt....Guys only!

It was time for the annual "Guys Only" hunting trip. Cael missed the second day of school so they could head down for the weekend. They spent the weekend mostly fishing, riding the RZR, and dealing with weird weather. look at the Hail! Me and Kensie stayed home and tried to do some fun things. I'm deep into this certification class I'm taking so I spent a lot of time working on that, but we still tried to do some fun girl things. Casey took some great pictures which was shocking because he usually comes home with two!

They had some flooding start when the storm rolled in. They had to divert the water from the trailers.

Cael's first day of first grade....

Cael was so excited to go meet his teacher Mrs. Wood at back to school night. I can't believe he will go ALL DAY LONG! He couldn't wait for 2 recesses, "hot" school lunch, and learning to read. We went and found his desk which was assigned alphabetically so he sat between Bryer Wright and Carter Mcpherson. Most of his friends from last year are not in his class, but he was excited to meet new friends.

Swimming 2011...

We Officially have fish at the Smith house! The kids have been doing swimming lessons the last two weeks and have improved loads! They love swimming and were sad to see it end. Maybe next year i'll get off my un-cute swimsuit body and take them more.....Maybe!

Cael & Tevin Valtinson

Cael and Gavyn ended up being the only kids in their class so they got tons of one-on-one with Tevin. I think Cael secretly idiolized him and wouldn't stop talking about Tevin's mope-head (sp?). The boys learned tons and passed all requirement to advance. The last couple of days Tevin even talked them into jumping off the diving board with no life jacket. Yes-my heart stop, but Cael just started swimming and I couldn't have been prouder!

Kensie also passed the Star Fish class....again. She was still too little to move up so she took the same class again. It took Cael a while to get use to the water, but not Kensie she has a natural love of water that I'm going to have to keep an eye because it doesn't scare her one bit!

County Fair.....

We love fair time! The older the kids get the more involved they want to be so we spent most of the week there. The derby was extra entertaining this year with it including an emergency evacuation because of micro-burst wind, two cars getting tipped over, a powder-puff driver needing prolonged medical treatment in the arena, a maniac driver getting pissed off(flipping another driver off for hitting him, i thought this was a derby???, and then he peeled off almost hitting a derby worker on foot), plus the usually excitement!

This is one of the car that got tipped over, I also think the man that is on top actually is the one that threw a temper tantrum because he got hit! At least they didn't tip you over like the guy under you! idiots!

Farrer Girls

Casey, Don Crowther, and the scout entered in the Dutch Oven cook-off this year. We have been to the sampling before, but never competed so it was all new. They did Thanksgiving tonight casserole & dutch oven potatoes. They ended up running out of food half way so we weren't planning on them winning anything. To our surprise they ended up winning best side dish. They were really excited especially since they only served about half the people judging.

The boys loved the RC Races! Casey & Cael came right home and added one to their santa list.

For the past couple of weeks Nikki has been working with the kids on making crafts to put in the fair. They loved going and see what they placed and even score a whole $10 bucks. Thanks Nikki for being awesome!
