Last day of School 2013...

 Wow this year has flown by!!  Cael has loved Mrs. Stevens class and done so well.

We took the kids and a few friends up to Trafalga to celebrate the year end.  We had hoped to do the batting cages and go-karts but unfortunately it was the one day all year that the batting cages were closed for maintenance and they were about 5 inches too short to drive the go-karts.  They settled for miniature golf and arcade games and had a great time.

We finished the afternoon off with Dippin Dots before heading home.  Welcome Summer!

Year End Awards Assembly 2013...

 Cael has had a great school year and tested above average all year.  He is a great student and was recognized for his achievement in reading which ironically is his least favorite subject.  Math is his strongest subject and he usually gets 100% on all his test.  They also gave awards for the kids who tested in the top of the class.  I was a little surprised Cael didn't make the cut since his scores had been high but then that afternoon when he got home from school he pulled out an award for Academics out of his backpack.  He said his teacher gave it to him when they got back to class because the principle only wanted them to hand out so many at the Assembly.  I don't know if that's true but it sounded good to me.  Keep up the good work Buddy!

Spring Festival 2013...

During my years at Nephi Elementary we always had a spring festival.  My fellow class mates might remember Nina Warners "Red Red Red somebody said Red was dinamite!  R-E-D it's red!"song.  When I was in 5th grade Cheryl Stephensen did the Spring Festival and we danced to the Beach Boys and made our own surfboards.  I also remember singing the "ants were marching" song as we walked  to the (old) High School for practice.  Since they split the school a couple of years ago this tradition was stopped until this year when Red Cliff Elementary had their first Spring Festival.  Cael had been talking about it for weeks and was excited the 2nd grade would be representing Hawaii.  Well until we got there and they told him to take his shoes off...he hates showing his feet!  I loved the program and enjoyed watching Cael dance even more!  This was a first for him and I have to say he has his dad's dance moves...whether that's a good thing is up for debate but I was sure proud of him! 

 

Mothers Day 2013...

We got together after church to celebrate the Mother's in our lives.  It wasn't anything fancy but we had a great time with our families.

Wilde 4 learning Preschool graduation 2013...

It feels like I was just dropping her off at her first day at Wilde 4 Learning and now she is all done and ready for the big school.  She has improved so much this year and I give all the credit to her teacher Mrs. Jenni.  They put on a cute program today and showed off how smart they are. 

Color my World 2013...

 

 Kensie looks forward to this night all year!!  She loves dance and her teacher Mrs. Lisa so much.  The costumes were darling and looked so cute on stage.  Of course her favorite part was getting flowers afterwards.
