The weather has been beautiful which means the neighborhood biker gang (Dallin, Malea, Addie, Cooper, Braxten, Kaitlyn, Abbie, Cael, and Kensie) have been spending most of their evenings cruising the street. I remember spending my childhood summers at the farm with Nikki, Chad, & my cousins Cody & Travis. We rode our bikes from sun up to sun down almost every day. We would pretend that all the haystacks were different stores/businesses which included a bakery, grocery store, tire repair shop (we used this one a lot), clothing store, and our Fruit Basket drive-in that was in my mom's kitchen (the menu included corn dogs & chicken patties) Our little town also held riding club events where we would compete on our bikes against each other doing the poles, barrels, water race, & the potato race just like we had watched our Dad's do on the horses. Our bikes were are entertainment and transportation all summer long and I'm guessing we would put on around a million miles by the time school started again. Fun Times.... My kids LOVE to ride their bikes too. This year Kensie figured out how to peddle her little princess three-wheeler and must have been up for a new challenge because she kept crying to ride Cael's old bike that literally had huge holes in the tires. We decided it was time for her to get her own bike, so we went to Walmart and let her pick one out. This took about 2 seconds, she saw this Dora one and there was no talking out of it. Casey put it in the cart and she started singing "pack pack pack pack". It was too cute. She loves riding it and putting her babies and toys in the back-pack. Cael took it for a spin and then told Casey that he needed to fill up the back tire because Kensie was jumping it and popped it. Casey thought this was a little suspicious and after some questioning Cael fessed up that it was him that was jumping it. It is a really cute bike and I love the little daisy's on the seat.
