Christmas Eve 2012....

This year we were lucky enough to have a white Christmas and snow to play in.  We got our neighbor gifts out the day before so we had all of Christmas Eve to play.  The Blackett Boys, Kaitlyn and Abbie joined us for some sledding down to the farm.  Casey pulled us behind the RZR and the snow was perfect.  We had a scare when Cael fell off and ended up caught underneath the one of tubes.  It traumatized Kensie and she was done sledding for the day.  When we got back to the house Grandma Vicki had hot chocolate ready to get the kids warmed up.  We then went home to get ready for our parties.  Chris and Jakoye had their party in the afternoon where we ate too much and then headed down to the farm to then again eat way too much.  Wayne and Connie's family joined us and we had a great night catching up with them.  We had some good laughs before opening our gifts from the pajama elf.  Chad and Jessica got some sexy one piece jammies and the look on their faces was priceless.  Casey was scared he was going to get the same thing but luckily Grandma Vicki was Joking and had a backup pair.  We all got a good laugh and they even put them on for some pics.

When we got home Casey read the kids "The Christmas Train" by the prophet and then Kensie set out her milk and "tookies".  She was worried how he was going to come through the fireplace but I reassured her he was magic and would get through.

Class Christmas Party....

Today was the last day of school before Christmas break so me and Kensie went to have lunch with Cael before his class party.  During his party we made snow globes, marshmallow Snowmen, played Christmas Bingo, and read a Christmas story while having a donut.  I'm so thankful for  Donni Pay, Mandi Rosenbeck, Patty Luker, Tosha Goodman and Debbie Francom who have been willing to help me with these parties.  They have turned out really fun and I've enjoyed getting to know the kids in Cael's class.

The Polar Express...

After months of preparation the Second grade performed their Polar Express Program.  Cael had been singing the songs for weeks and I couldn't wait to go see it.  Growing up we had a video of Chad's Christmas program from kindergarten that was always a favorite home video.  Well the morning of the program Cael woke up and said he was dizzy.  I told him to eat his breakfast and lay down for a minute.  He started to feel a little better and said he wanted to go so I sent him out the door.  I then left for work and dropped Kensie off.  Well I had just got to work when the phone rang and sure enough Cael had started to throw-up at school.  I was devastated at the thought of him missing his only Christmas program and when I picked him up it broke my heart to see him in the office still with his Santa hat on.  He started crying and felt bad he had to miss the morning performance they did for the whole school.  I told him we would go home and see if we could get him feeling better for the evening performance.  He came home and slept most of the morning before getting up and having some soup.  I told him if he could keep it down then he could go that night.  Luckily he was able to keep it down and wasn't fevering at the time of the program.  Now to my defense I am totally against people bringing their sick kids out, but he hadn't thrown up for 9 hours and wasn't fevering so I gave in and let him go.  The program turned out so cute and I was glad he was able to be apart.  His favorite song was "Hot Chocolate" and it was the perfect start to Christmas Break.

Ugly Sweater Party....

We were invited to our first ugly sweater party at the Blackett house.  I had asked around at work and luckily Jenny had some fancy turtle necks she let me have.  Mandee Robison borrowed me the other stuff and luckily had a man's sweater for Casey.  I might be a little bias but I think he looked hot. :)  Everyone outdid themselves and the competition was stacked. Liesl was out to earn the title and came dressed to impress, but I have to say the shock of the night was Morris's Santa impersonation.  When it came down to the votes Liesl and Morris were neck and neck until the last few votes which gave Liesl the lead. She was hilarious and we laughed about her acceptance speech for days.  We also had a white elephant gift exchange which gave me good reason to let go of our prize Asian canvas.  Some of you may remember this from Casey's birthday a few years back.  Me and Casey came home with a toilet seat tattoo and a flask adorn with a white tail buck.  It was a great night and I'm glad they let us be apart.
Taylor's sweater actually had Christmas light that turned on by a button in his pocket.  He had already won $100 at work that morning.

NFR 2012...

We had a great time in Vegas with our besties the Taylor's.  This is our second year and definitely not our last.  We spent our days there shopping, eating, shopping, shopping, cowboy gazing, shopping...you get the drift.  This year Dillon and his buddy Brace were also down there which kept us laughing.

We had just pulled into Vegas and stopped at this light when a homeless guy came walking up to my window.  I didn't make eye contact but could see him doing karate moves and trying to kick box my car.  Eric and Jen were in front of us and got a good laugh out of it.

Eric decided to try out one of the horse trailer services at the Cowboy Christmas...Bahahaha

I so thought about getting this.....

Every night after the Rodeo we would go down and watch Eric's cousin Kelson rope the slack. Jen noticed Tuff Cooper jump the fence right next to where we were sitting.  He was getting some pictures taken so we couldn't resist.  There were two young girls in front of us freaking out asking "How do I look??  How do I look???  Heck we were freaking out and asking the same question.  We both agreed that Tuff hugged extra tight and I loved when he called us "Ladies".  He was super cute!!  Love my Cowboys!!!  It even turned out he won the tie down roping championship.

On our last night there we headed down on the strip to ride the Roller-coaster at New York New York and check out the water show at the Bellagio.  We were a little short on space in the car so Brace and Dillon took turns sitting in the hatch.  You should of seen the looks we got when Dillon jumped in the hatch at the New York New York and Casey shut the door for him.  The Asians standing out front couldn't believe it...So Funny!  I couldn't believe they talked me into riding the dang rollercoaster.  It went fast and was so rough, but I'm proud to say I survived!  I loved the Bellagio water show and we even met some people from Brigham City that new my dad's aunt.  Small world.

We even became famous and were on TV!  It was only a few seconds, but hey how many seconds have you been on TV?  Chad sent me this picture he took off of his TV.
