Cornbellys

We finally made it to the famous Cornbellys at Thanksgiving point. I've always wanted to take the kids, but have yet to get there before the end of Oct. We headed up after Kensie danced at the craft show and decided to stop at our fav Mexican restaurant in Payson. As we walked in I recognized a Cowboy, his cute pregnant wife, and darling little girl. Yes, Eric and Jen were eating there and they happen to put us right next to them. It's been a while since we went to dinner with them so the universe must have took matters into it's own hands. We had a great time visiting with them before heading up.

We first hit the corn maze. Like I said it was our first time there and after spending some time in the maze we figured out that it was actually more like a treasure hunt maze. They had different signs through the whole thing that you had to find. We were too lazy to go back and get our card so we just found our way back out. The kids loved it and Kensie even got the chance to pee deep inside the corn. Honestly what I am I going to do with that girl?

They have over 40 fun attractions to do. The kids loved all of them.

We ended up spending over 3 hours there. It turned out to be a fun afternoon and a must next year!

City trick or treat...

The kids couldn't wait for the first trick-or-treating of the year. To keep them busy we made some Jar-O-Lanterns that actually turned out really cute. Once the clock struck 2 they couldn't wait any longer!

This year was alot less stressfull mostly because all the businesses had enough candy and crossing guards at the main intersections. The only hang-up was Kensie losing her wings. She was upset until we bought her new one's down at the craft boutique the next day.

Halloween Carnival/Thriller....

At the first of the month Kalee's drill team reserved ticket to Thriller so I told her to get me a seat. The next day Cael brought home a note saying that the school carnival would also be held on the 27th. RATS! That meant I got to go shopping, to dinner, & thriller while Casey got to take the kids to the carnival and from what I hear it was fabulous.....from the kids perspective. At one point Casey said he started to mark off stations from their slip so they didn't have to go anymore. He was a trooper and even took pics of the whole thing. Excuse Kensie's costume, she's not wearing half of it because her dad is nicer than me! The kids did have fun and I'm thankful Casey was willing to take them.

Pumpkin Patch field trip...

Today we went on Kensie's first official field trip to the Pay's Pumpkin Patch. We went on a hay ride and then they each got to pick out a pumpkin. We spent about an hour there before sending them back to the pre-school.

Casey's trophy...

Casey reclaimed his man-hood and brought home a kill! It's been several years since he killed anything, but this year he broke his streak with a 26" 4x4. He was excited that Cael was with him when he shot it. He actually killed it opening morning, but didn't find it until the next morning. It took 6 hours and lots of work to get it out. Kensie was so excited when they brought it home that she wanted it in her room. Where did I get this girl?
