Gone Squatchin...

We headed out to Mona to celebrate Gavyn's birthday.  Gavyn and my parents (mostly my Dad) have been obsessed with the show "Finding Big Foot".  I have never watch the show, but my kids have also become obsessed with finding Big Foot and practice doing their calls.  For days Kensie would head to the back door the minute she got up and let off a call.  This would get the dogs barking, but no Big Foot.  Anyway Gavyn wanted to do a Sasquatch party and it turned out so cute.  Nikki is the all time best party planner and this one set the bar a little too high for the Smith's to reach.

Sasquatch hunt...they had to find a stick, red rock, poop (chocolate candy of coarse), and a big foot egg full of candy.

That night the guys took the kids "Squatchin" up the canyon just like on TV.  When it got dark they started a fire and cooked hot dogs and marshmallow.  They then took off on their hunt and made it about 10 steps when all the kids started to get nervous.  My dad then let off his extremely loud call and the kids freaked.  Gavyn started hitting my dad begging him to stop and wanted to go home.  They had no luck finding Big Foot, probably because they don't exist (wink), but had a good story when they got home. Too funny!

My parents bought the kids these shirts.  Cael's says "join the Squatch Watch" and Kensie's says "I Believe" with a pink big foot on it. 

United We Dance....

The day came for Kensie to dance on the Big Stage.  She couldn't wait and at times seemed more excited about receiveing flowers afterwards.  Funny Girl!  She did awesome and really focused on doing all her moves correctly.  For weeks she has been trying to teach me her dances, but would mostly just have me do "in, out, now in & out."  She loves Lisa and going to "dan".

"London Bridges" ballet dance.  Kensie and Hailey Hall are the tallest in the class so they got to make the bridge. 
I'm still trying to figure out where she gets her height from.

Wilde 4 Learning spent the morning at the Nephi City Fire Department.  The Volunteer Firefighters were really cute with the kids and let them climb in the fire truck, wear the uniform, and shoot the fire hose.  Kensie wanted nothing to do with it, but enjoyed watching the other kids do it.  Kensie only has another week of school before summer break....where did the year go?

It's nice outside...

We have been enjoying the nice weather.  Last year it felt like winter til the 4th of July so we are taking full advantage of the heat.  Our kids love to be outside with the neighbors keeping busy.  Casey has been pouring cement for the playhouse until the wee hours of the night  There were several nights he didn't come to bed until after 2:00 am.  He almost gets tunnel vision when working on a project and can't stop until he is physically exhausted.  Our plan is to get the cement done now so he can finish the outside of the playhouse over Memorial day weekend.

Safety first for Kensie.  When she wears this helmet she looks like the Kinetic King from last years "America's got Talent".  Google him if you don't know who I'm talking about.
