Mayfield 2011...

It's a miracle...We finally went camping!!! It's just not been the summer for camping this year. We had such a good winter and with temp being low the snow has not wanted to melt. I love mayfield because of the good 4-wheeler trails, its closer to home, and simply BEAUTIFUL. We headed down on Thursday after work and stayed until Monday morning. My parents went with us this year and ended up having a rough time getting up the mountain. My dad was pulling a heavy load and that mixed with a steep incline and a newly grated road it left him stranded with bald tires. He was not a happy camper...literally! Casey & Gary went to the rescue and got him up to camp and luckily Chad and Jessica were able to bring them down some new tires so they could get home. The good news was that we got our drama over early and ended up having a great weekend!

Kensie loved picking all the pretty flowers.

Kensie woke up with her face swollen on Sunday and as the day went on it started to spread up her face and around her eye. When we got home on Monday I took her out to the ER to make sure it wasn't settling in her eye. They said she had an infection from one of the bug bites and put her on an antibiotic. It didn't even looked like her so I had to take a picture and ignore the messy hair we had just got home from camping.

Every year they select a military member from the community to honor. This year they chose my dad and I couldn't be prouder of his service! We laughed as every night the announcer got something wrong from his name as Ryan to him serving in Iraq, but what do you expect from a sauced cowboy.

After the parade me and Casey headed down to help our ward in the cook shack and the kids went with my mom and dad to the rodeo. We caught the tail end of the Rodeo, but we were both glad that we helped.

Mini Drill 2011....

Kensie was so excited to spend three days dancing with Kalee. They learned a routine to the "Pun" (rupunzel) song, a quick military dance, and got a cute t-shirt. Kensie kept trying to show me how to do the military dance and showed me how to salute. Too funny! And of coarse she was Kaitlyns shadow during the whole thing.
